As Sydney Anglican Christians our prayer is that each of our churches will be communities where all are welcomed to meet Jesus, where we are abundantly loving and Biblically faithful, and grow to become mature in Christ, who is our head.

 

We deeply desire that each of our churches will be places where all people (including of course those who experience attraction to the same sex or gender incongruence) will be able to meet together to spur each other on to love and good deeds.

There are links to the pastoral guidelines on Sexuality and Gender, first presented to the Sydney Anglican synod in 2019, but  fleshed out with videos and other links.  They stand on the shoulders of and are designed to complement the various reports from the Sydney Diocesan Doctrine Commission.

We hope these pages and the accompanying videos from Rob Smith, Sam Allberry, Patricia Weerakoon, Sam Wan, Mark Yarhouse, David Bennett, Wesley Hill, Besty Rodgers, Mitch Smart and Ruth Lukabyo will be a small step in suggesting ways to love those Christians who experience attraction to the same sex in our churches.
